The center for Mediation and Arbitration (CEMEDAR
S.A.) is an independent and private organization
authorized to perform conflict resolution services
under Costa Rica's Ministry for Justice and through
Resolution DNRAC 04-02, March 7, 2002.
CEMEDAR seeks to promote the advancement of
alternative dispute resolution methods such as
negotiation, mediation, conciliation, and arbitration
as means for constructively resolving conflict.
CEMEDAR provides parties in dispute a safe, private,
and confidential space for dialogue, facilitated by
one or more professional mediators. CEMEDAR's mediators work with parties to help them identify
common interests, build understanding, and craft
meaningful agreements that satisfy each party's needs.
